Manuel Oliver, father of Joaquin Oliver, who was one of the victims of the mass shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida on February 14, 2018, came to DC on the 4-year anniversary of the tragedy to send a message.
Oliver climbed atop a construction crane not far from the White House and unveiled a large banner to demand action on gun control.
He is upset over the Biden administration's lack of action on gun control and the banner says the words, "45k people died from gun violence on your watch!" with a photo of his son on it.
Oliver shared a video of himself atop the crane on his Twitter account, which can be viewed below.
MPD says the 700 block of 15th Street, NW, between H Street and New York Avenue is closed due to police activity.
