Lawmakers: Let Americans see the full Mueller report

On the heels of news that Special Counsel Robert Mueller found no evidence that President Donald Trump or anyone in his campaign conspired with Russia, a trio of lawmakers say they want the full report out in the open so the public can draw its own conclusions.

On Sunday, House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler, Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff and Committee on Oversight and Reform Chairman Elijah Cummings reiterated their call for the release of Mueller’s full report and all related documents.

The lawmakers said the four-page summary doesn’t expressly exonerate the president but “Instead, it ‘sets out evidence on both sides of the question’ of obstruction—including the evidence that President Trump attempted to obstruct justice.”

The trio said even though it’s confident Mueller made the right prosecutorial judgement in establishing the Trump campaign didn’t conspire, it’s still crucial the nation and other members of Congress gets to assess the evidence Mueller collected.

"The American people deserve to see the facts and judge the President’s actions for themselves,” they said.
