White House rolls out AI.gov

There’s now a one-stop shop for all things artificial intelligence within the federal government.

Rolled out yesterday, AI.gov aims to house information about all the federal efforts and resources around AI. That includes fact sheets, key strategic documents, and testimonies and speeches from officials.

The launch of the portal comes on the heels of President Donald Trump’s February American AI Initiative, whose goal is to accelerate U.S. leadership in AI. It implements a comprehensive strategy in tandem with industry, academia, the public and global partners to advance AI. Federal agencies now must pursue a multidimensional approach to push forth AI efforts.

The new website was announced by Michael Kratsios, deputy assistant to the president for technology policy, who in a statement said the portal “illustrates our whole of government approach” to domestic AI policy.

“We look forward to continued advancements solidifying America’s position as the world leader in AI and ensuring this emerging technology is developed and applied for the benefit of the American people,” he said.
