NASA Wants Techies to Collaborate on Space Tech

Startups now have their chance to work closely with NASA to develop technology that could be used for future space missions

Co-sponsored by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, NASA's first aerospace accelerator program will convene entrepreneurs, space experts and industry partners in a 3-month pilot program. The goal is twofold: build space tech and promote collaboration between industry and NASA.

The Techstars Starburst Space Accelerator will focus on technologies such as geospatial analytics, autonomous systems, applied artificial intelligence and machine learning.

The program kicks off July 15 in Los Angeles, California, and participants will spend three months developing their concepts and business plans. After, they will pitch their work to NASA and private investors at a Demo Day in October.

Interested startups have until April 7 to apply for the pilot program.
